== Tactics == Rising Storm Tommy gun allows more generous usage of automatic fire thanks to bigger drum magazine, however the ammunition reserve remains same. Still same base tactics used with standard stick magazine Thompson work well. The selective fire on the Rising Storm Tommy gun allows a player optional control over the firing mode. Semi-automatic allows for players to make individual shots, suitable for killing weak specimens without wasting ammo. Fully-automatic can also be used in a similar fashion if players tap the primary fire button only very briefly, but also gives the option of firing in short bursts or in longer streaks if the situations require it. It has low recoil; the muzzle rise is less than that of the Bullpup, but the horizontal recoil is greater. The recoil has an overall pattern of slowly going directly upwards, so slowly aiming downwards as you fire all-out can counter it, somewhat. However, using R.S Tommy as the main sweeper takes a toll on its somewhat limited ammo pool leaving you at awkward positions when specimen breach in and you start to lose ground. R.S Tommy gun has a small edge compared to its counter-part Bullpup for sweeping and it's ZED time extending. When slow motion triggers, with great confidence you can hold your post and grant refresh slow motion timer with each specimen kill. By keeping it loaded, you can crouch down and whip out R.S Thompson to carve through specimen to extend the timer. It is lighter than most of the assault rifles, and can be carried together with the [[SCARMK17]], [[Tommy gun]] or [[Dr. T's Lead Delivery System]], leaving 4 weight blocks free. This allows you to carry both guns plus any pair of pistols, a katana, an MP7M or MP5M medic gun, or an M79 grenade launcher. The M79 in particular allows the Commando to finish weakened Fleshpounds that hit lower than 15% health with some exposure to bullets or flinch a Scrake momentarily from a blunt bodyshot up close to finish it. As an off-perk weapon, it has limited usefulness, but may be suitable for some Field Medics and Demolition Experts as a backup weapon, especially against Stalkers.
